THE END IS NEAR?

NOT BY A LONG SHOT!

JAN LILLEBY

Checking TV-media, Internet, or YouTube, we find hundreds or thousands of ‘voices’ screaming ‘The End is Near! The World will go Under! War in Ukraine, war in Gaza, …war, war and whatever comes next. Putin will nuke USA! Take cover!!

In Christian circles preachers are shouting out wild alarms: ‘The Great Tribulation has started!’

YouTube are overstuffed with false prophesies of doomsday and disasters… one worse than the other.

But none of it is true. Yes, it is true that we have a world in which we see wars and trouble and a lot of unrest and mayhem. But this is NOT the Biblical ‘Great Tribulation’.

THE IDIOTIC AND FALSE CONCEPT IN

CHRISTIANITY, OF A TRIBULATION TO

COME UPON THE ENTIRE EARTH

I have written a book on this topic, “Moses and Elijah Coming with the Day of Vengeance”, and it can be downloaded from my website. See book cover below.

But told in short terms, that Biblical tribulation to come was foretold by Moses, Jeremiah, Daniel, Jesus and John (his Book of Revelation).

Especially when we go to Revelation, we find that the tribulation shall come upon Israel only, and it will not start by random events in the world, a war here, a flood there, a volcanic eruption there, and so forth. No, it will start up by a divine intervention as God sends down Moses and Elijah from heaven to prophesy the horrors and punishments upon Israel as described in that book. It says of the two prophets in Rev. 11:3, NASB,

"And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve  hundred  and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."  These 1260 days is the first half of the 7-year tribulation. The 42 months mentioned (v. 2) are the last half of these seven years. Thus we know that the tribulation is started up by the two, as they arrive from heaven. They shall PROPHESY of the forthcoming horrors and disasters to hit Israel! They shall smite the waters into blood, and rain from the sky shall cease as well, then followed with asteroids falling on Israel! The two prophets are ‘administrators’ and they have the last word in every incident of judgmental actions against the ungodly Zionist-Israel!! And, indeed, they are ‘armed to their teeth’ – with a divinely appointed super-weapon puking out blazing deadly fire against those who dare oppose them!! Rev.11:5, 6, NASB,

“And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.”

This tells us that they are probably arriving in the midst of an ongoing war, as Israel keep murdering their neighbors…as they always have done since they took the land by political manipulation and conspirational actions back in 1948. Due to such a war-narrative it will be necessary for God to equip them with this super-weapon for defense, and also so the national leaders will pay due attention to the prophets. I am convinced of this.

The prophets arrive at the temple site on Zion, thus telling us they are to minister IN ISRAEL and nowhere else. Rev. 11:1, 2, NASB.

The topic of ‘The Great Tribulation’ in future Israel was held forth by Jesus, as He based His saying upon what Jeremiah wrote in Jer. 30:4-9, …of the time of Jacob’s distress, quote from NASB,

“4 Now these are the words which the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah:

5 "For thus says the LORD, 'I have heard a sound of terror, Of dread, and there is no peace.

6 'Ask now, and see If a male can give birth. Why do I see every man With his hands on his loins, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale?

7 'Alas! for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob's distress, But he will be saved from it.

8 'It shall come about on that day,' declares the LORD of hosts, 'that I will break his yoke from off their neck and will tear off their bonds; and strangers will no longer make them their slaves.

9 'But they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.”

I emphasized verse 7, telling of the tribulation to come upon Israel. Verse 8 and 9 tells of the day when Jesus comes from heaven to stop the tribulation and establish the millennial kingdom in Israel.

Jesus laid this passage out, as follows – Mat. 24:21-22, NASB,

21 "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever  will.

22 "Unless those days had been cut short, no  life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”

Verse 21 says same as Jer. 30:7 – Alas! For that day IS GREAT, THERE IS NONE LIKE IT! And verse 22 says same as Jer. 30:8-9, that Jesus shall cut short that tribulation in order to save the survivors.

It happens in ISRAEL and not in the world, globally. Yes, it is probable that there will be some damages and misfortunes upon the closest neighboring countries to Israel. This may be called ‘collateral damages’. But it will be mainly Israel which will be hit by this purging action sent by God, as He let His two prophets, Moses and Elijah prophesy what is to come. These will allow for the people to seek shelter for the on-coming horrors as these will be warned against. Same manner as when Moses gave Egypt one day’s time to find shelter, as he confronted Pharaoh Ramses II, see Ex.9:18-21, NASB,

18 "Behold, about this time tomorrow, I will send a very heavy hail, such as has not been seen in Egypt from the day it was founded until now.

19 "Now therefore send, bring your livestock and whatever  you have in the field to safety. Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die.""'

20 The one among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the LORD made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses;

21 but he who paid no regard to the word of the LORD left his servants and his livestock in the field.”

We learn from verse 18, that Moses gave Egypt one day to seek shelter, for man and beast. The same shall be the merciful actions of the two prophets, Moses and Elijah,  Rev. 11.

The two shall be prophesying horrors to fall upon the land, giving them time to take cover. This is ‘mirrored’ in Luke 21:25-27 as Jesus said that people would be grueling and scared to death by what would come upon the nation, - but how could they be so scared if they were not told beforehand of what exactly was to take place?

25 "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,

26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

27 "Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.”

Verse 26 here, is fully in line with Jer. 30:6, telling of  …every man with his hands on his loins, - why had every face turned pale? …Jesus explained why: They shall just be fainting from fear and the EXPECTATION of the things which are coming upon the nation! When men go fainting off, that is because of panic and fear of what threatens their very lives.

Jesus pointing to …powers of the heavens will be shaken…is same as we see in Rev. 8, and the asteroids falling on the Mediterranean Sea as well as on the nation of Israel. He is not pointing to particular star constellations seen in the night sky (as in v. 25), but dangerous asteroids falling, as in v. 26.

When the one hits the Mediterranean (Rev. 8:8, 9) it will cause huge tsunamis to flood the coastlines of Turkey, Israel and Egypt. Tel Aviv will be hit and much of it shall be leveled with the ground. Waves 30-40 meters tall will smash up the city, I am sure. But the two prophets will warn of this, giving people 24 hours to flee out of there. They shall flee, taken with panic and fear to a degree…which causes many of them to faint…into unconsciousness, and thus get killed by the disaster. This will not happen all over the world, but only in Israel. But neighboring nations may be experiencing what I mentioned above, collateral damage along the coastlines.

NASA teams are constantly watching such asteroids in space, and especially one of them has an orbit sending it past the earth much closer than other asteroids. It is named Apophis, and will pass here in 2029…however in a safe distance. But God has the power to handle any which asteroid He may choose to be dumped in the Mediterranean in due time! The Revelation Book says He will.

Telling of God as one Who uses asteroids/meteors as tools to bring doom and destruction, the Book of Job 38:22, 23 says, NASB,

“22 "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,

23 Which I have reserved for the time of distress, For the day of war and battle?”

The word ‘Hail’ is also meaning stones (meteors, etc) and not just ice hails. In Rev. 16:21 it says that hail weighing 100 pounds shall hit the land,

“And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe.”

THE GREAT TRIBULATION SHALL INDEED ARRIVE,

BUT FIRST THE CHURCH DISPENSATION WILL

BE CONCLUDED, AS GOD TAKES US TO HEAVEN

When reading the two only Church epistles of Paul, Ephesians and Colossians, have you noticed that Paul did not mention any word of eventual tribulation to come upon Israel?

No mention of Second Advent at all. No mention of Anti-Christ. No mention of Israel and wars and great troublesome times for that nation.

This is because those things are not at all relevant to the Church. We shall be transferred into the heavens by the power of God, when the ‘Day of Redemption’ arrives soon, Eph. 4:30, NASB,

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

This day is not our day of death. It is the day when God takes us into His glorious heaven, and we shall be revealed with Christ, Col. 3:1-4, NASB,

“1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”
